Dandelion in Macro

Did you know dandelions are made of fireworks?

Yesterday I wrote about how I’m learning to play with depth of field in macro photography. This shot was taken handheld in our backyard, with no flash added. To get as much of it in focus as possible, my aperture is at f/20. I’m actually holding the dandelion in my left hand and the camera in my right. I positioned myself so the sun came over my shoulder and hit the dandelion the straight on, but I made sure the background was in shadow to really help the white flower stand out.
