Looking Up: Lower South Falls

from $45.00

There are four waterfalls you can walk behind at Silver Falls State Park. One of them is Lower South Falls. The experience is exhilarating. There are other benefits too, apparently. For a century, scientists have been studying “the waterfall effect” caused by the negative ions released when water collides with itself. Breathing in those negative ions are said to boost the immune system, reduce stress, and improve sleep. The autumn foliage was in full effect on this morning. Using a long shutter speed I was able to “see through” the water to where a visitor was looking up in awe at the falls. Waterfall effect, indeed.
